Thomas Ferguson has changed ownership a number of times, constantly updating and modernising to better fulfil the needs of an ever changing market. The Company is currently owned and run by a local Banbridge family.
The Company weaves fabrics for many end uses such as fashion, apparel, bed linen, table linen, Irish linen tea towels, industrial applications, etc. They sell linens to both the wholesale and retail markets.
Situated in Banbridge, N. Ireland the Company bears the name of the founder Thomas Ferguson (1820-1900).
Thomas Ferguson is part of the Neilly Group, and is a sister company of John England .

Thomas Ferguson’s core business is as a Jacquard and plain fabric weaver. The Company is a specialist Irish linen damask weaver, and weaver of traditional striped and lettered linen tea towels.
Ferguson’s can weave Jacquard fabrics up to 3 metres wide (finished), and plain fabrics just over 3 metres wide (finished).
Ferguson’s supply loom state fabric straight off the loom, or with bleached or dyed and finished. Sanforized, or with a washed shrunk and softened finish.
The standard warp used is 100% linen (from flax). However, an option is cotton warps if the minimum order is over 1000 metres.
Weft yarns are linen, cotton, wool, alpaca, hemp, and various other fibres. The interest in hemp fabrics is increasing.
The Company specialises in commission weaving and providing bespoke services. Customers may have almost all products supplied branded or personalised. This may involve in-woven cresting, company name woven into a tea towel, or your own design or a special size.
Wholesale customers buy directly from the weaving factory, or from our secure online wholesale store. Retail customers through a number of major retailers and online stores, or through the Thomas Ferguson online retail shop.
